Well Ive been debating on whether or not to post this picture and something in me said to go for it. It’s a work in progress but I’d just like to say I’m thankful for every curve, every roll and every stretch mark on my body. I’m not meant to be skinny but I do realize that my health is important. So I’ve started working out more and making better choices when it comes to the food I eat. And I must say I love the results.

Running has ALWAYS been the one thing I’ve struggled with, but that and a few other workouts are definitely helping me get the body I want. Lets be realistic people, everyone can’t have a behind like Nicki Minaj (it would be nice but it’s really not that special lol) but everyone CAN be healthy and fit. You don’t have to weigh 100 pounds even I consider yourself beautiful or “healthy.” LOVE the skin you’re in and LOVE the body God has given you.!

Here are three things I’ve learned about working out and eating right & I think these will help anyone who’s having trouble getting started!

1: Eat in moderation. Just because you worked out for two hours doesn’t mean you can PIG out when you get home. Eat just enough but not to the point where you’re stuffing yourself. Start cooking at home instead of eating out, that way you can control your portions all around. The food network has GREAT recipes on their website that don’t require much.

2: Pace yourself. I have friends who know what they’re doing in the gym but I sometimes can’t keep up. It’s not an excuse, it’s me listening to my body when it tells me to calm down. If you cant run a mile like your friends, set a goal to try and do half a mile, then the next day double it if you want and work even harder each day. You are the only person that knows your body so when it’s time to stop, stop. Your body will thank you later. :)

3: Have CONFIDENCE & FAITH. Think positive thoughts when you decide to work out and believe that you can accomplish your goals. Do you have a favorite dress that would fit perfectly if you dropped a few pounds? Well let that be your motivation! Believe me it is NOT easy but let your determination and goals motivate you to go to the gym everyday. Make working out fun by listening to your favorite pandora station or make your own upbeat playlist. You can do it!

I hope this helps someone out. :)
